TDT 352 Costume Design for Dance
The journey of Dance has been an integral part of nearly every culture from the beginnings of human habitation on this earth, and associated with those dance events have been costumes. Costuming, it could be argued, is the oldest of the theatrical design elements. We will explore the elements that help define characters and support an overall collaborative art form called Dance. We will explore how costuming continues to shape our modern understanding of dance and the specific requirements that dance places on costumes.
