IDS 164 SERVICE LEARNING AND COMMUNITIES (ELR)
This course focuses on the interconnectivity of rural and urban communities, how community issues such as indigenous culture, hunger, food sourcing, homelessness and environmental stewardship are identified, and how organizations responding to needs like these work with local and international volunteers to aid the community. Students will travel across the United States performing service projects along the way. Participation in Elon's Gap Program is required. Counts toward Experiential Learning Requirement.
