PSY 4019 Comparative Psychology
Lecture and Discussion of Darwin’s theory of Evolution and Natural Selection, how it applies to Psychology, and how it applies to the study of behavior. The course will focus on the interaction between genes and the environment in influencing the behavior of animals, and comparing this to the behavior of humans. Topics include DNA, Mendelian genetics, natural selection, adaptation and evolution. Prerequisite:
PSY 1100. (NOTE: Meets Group I requirement.)
