Requirements
Student selects one upper division course offered in Art History and one upper division course offered in History.

Student selects two courses in literature, one each from any two of the following course lists:
Global Literatures;
Gender, Race and Sexuality; or
Literature of the Americas.
Student selects either Cultural Anthropology, a course offered in Philosophy or a course offered in Religion.
Electives in the Major
Student must take 12 units of elective credit, choosing either undergraduate Humanities electives or applying to the Master of Arts in Humanities program and using graduate credit to satisfy the elective requirement.
If choosing only undergraduate courses, student selects a 4-unit upper division literature or creative writing course, or two paired 2-unit courses.

4+1 Master of Arts in Humanities
A student with 16 units of upper division coursework and a 3.5 GPA may apply for early progression to the MA in Humanities, applying up to 12 units of graduate coursework to the BA and reducing the number of units required to complete the MA after completion of the BA.
Capstone
Although not required, student highly encouraged to complete an Internship for one or more units.
