PSY 3062 Psychology of Mentoring

This course explores the psychological, social, and developmental aspects of mentoring relationships. We will discuss benefits of mentorship to both mentors and protégés and consider these benefits for individuals across the lifespan including youth and college mentoring, career mentoring, and intergenerational partnerships. Students in this course will develop an understanding of theoretical perspectives on mentoring as well as consider implications for building high quality mentoring programming and improving their own mentoring relationships.
