Transportation Training Services

Del Mar College Transportation Training Services has created an intensive training program to help the Transportation Industry with the high demand for qualified truck drivers and to provide individuals with access to better paying jobs.

In just 4 short weeks, students gain knowledge and skills to be able to obtain a Class A CDL driver’s license, leading to an exciting new career.

After completing the 200-hour program, students will be qualified for entry-level positions with some of America's leading over the road and local carriers.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid Texas driver's license.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must not have more than three moving violations in the past three years on the driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical and drug screen.

Transportation Training Services: Bus Program

To safely operate a bus and transport passengers, the CDL Class B Training courses will cover 80 hours of classroom/lab prerequisites and driving skills (30 hours of classroom/lab prerequisites and 50 hours of skill area and over-the-road driving instruction, including the Department of Motor Vehicles driving test).
