High School Equivalency Program (GED, HiSET & TASC)

The High School Equivalency program is limited to students enrolled at local offsite non-DMC programs who wish to co-enroll in accelerated workforce training programs such as Industrial, Business or Certified Nurse’s Assistant. Participants must be enrolled in a local qualifying high school equivalency program and working towards completion of their GED or HiSET exam. Participants must meet minimum eligibility criteria including updated TABE scores. Students who participate in this program would receive one continuing education completion certificate plus navigation towards any post-secondary transitions or job placement opportunities.

Ability to Benefit Financial Aid Program

The Ability to Benefit grant funded program will allow eligible students without a high school diploma or recognized equivalent to enter postsecondary education in a Career Pathway program and become eligible to receive future federal financial aid.

The objective of the capacity building for the Ability to Benefit initiative is to implement activities that develop institutional capacity to recruit, enroll and serve students without a high school credential in eligible Career Pathways programs and to fast-track student access to Pell grant financial aid.
