Course Description

KINE 1238. INTRODUCTION TO PHYSICAL FITNESS AND SPORT (2-1-2) Introduction to the core concepts and practices of lifetime fitness and health necessary to achieve optimal well-being. Topics include components of fitness, assessment and exercise prescription, healthy lifestyle behaviors, nutrition, stress management, and weight management. Includes a physical activity component. Students will be expected to participate in an approved activity program throughout the semester. Assessment Levels: R1, E1, M0. 31.0501
