NUR1010 Foundations of Nursing Practice

The foundations course is designed to introduce the new student to the profession of nursing. Concepts introduced include the role of the professional nurse, teaching and learning in nursing, legal and ethical aspects of nursing, culture and diversity in practice, and the environment of nursing. Upon completion of the course, students will have a theoretical base for entry into practice.
