Online Resources
The Library has many computer resources available to assist faculty, students, and staff of the College in navigating through GALILEO. GALILEO stands for Georgia Library Learning Online, an initiative of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia. A World Wide Web-based virtual Library, GALILEO provides access to multiple information resources, including secured access to licensed products. Participating institutions may access over 250 databases indexing thousands of periodicals and scholarly journals. Over 7,000 journal titles are provided in full text. Descriptions of databases are available online. Through the Online Catalog or Galileo students have access to over 113,000 e-books. The contracts between the College and GALILEO limit use of these systems to faculty, students, and staff of the Columbus Technical College Library. For further information on all computer-assisted research services, please consult a librarian.
