CSC 375 Voting Theory

A study of the mathematics of voting systems and preference aggregation more broadly, for both single and multi-winner scenarios. In the latter, we examine the kinds of outcomes that rules are designed to achieve, popularity, diversity, and representation. We also examine a collection of desirable properties we would like our elections to have, and grapple with the impossibility of any election satisfying all of these properties.
