FRE 415 Absurdity and Existentialism

An examination of the basic motivations in the French and Francophone world of the Absurd in Philosophy, Theater, Art and Film, and how these domains have shaped intellectual and esthetic debate toward the 21st century. A second, but related motivation concerns the relationship between Existentialism, Feminism, and Ethics.
