ANT 350 Ecological Anthropology

A study of interrelationships between populations, organization, environment, technology, and symbols. Established materialist paradigms in anthropology are critiqued and evaluated. New approaches to understanding issues of environmental degradation, world hunger, and Third World development and change are addressed, including historical ecology, political ecology, the ecology of practice, and remote sensing analysis.
