Legal Structure of Bastyr University
Bastyr University is a nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation founded for the purpose of serving as an effective leader in the improvement of the health and well-being of the human community through education, research and community health care. The Articles of Incorporation are filed in the state of Washington. The University is governed by a Board of Trustees that appoints the president of the University, who is ultimately responsible for all academic and administrative policies as well as institutional financial management and planning.
