MW4307 Breastfeeding and Lactation Education
This course is designed to give student midwives the ability to educate women about the benefits of breast-feeding, to prepare clients to breast-feed, to understand the anatomy and physiology involved in breast-feeding, to assist clients with early breast-feeding, to help with common problems and to make appropriate referrals to other care providers for breast-feeding concerns beyond their expertise or scope of practice.
