Gerontology

The minor in Gerontology is designed to support a major in many different fields of study. The minor takes a multidisciplinary approach to the study of aging, the challenges and opportunities facing aging societies, and to the institutions providing services to elders. Graduates will be direct service providers to elders and organizations that serve them, and may be employed in an array of public and private systems that respond to the health care, social service, economic, and educational needs of older persons in the twenty-first century.
