SPED 503 Learning Environments, Behavioral Supports, and Assessment in Special Education 

This course prepares teacher candidates to create supportive, inclusive learning environments grounded in effective behavioral strategies, proactive management techniques, and ethical assessment practices. Candidates explore the full assessment cycle from screening and evaluation to progress monitoring and examine collaborative practices that uphold legal and ethical responsibilities in special education.
