Early Admission for High School Students

Although most freshman applicants will not enter the University of the Incarnate Word until after high school graduation, the University will consider applications from well-qualified candidates who have not yet completed their high school diploma and are considering taking college courses at the University as dual credit as part of their high school curriculum.

Dual credit candidates must contact the Office of Admissions at (210) 829-6005 or admission@uiwtx.edu for information on applying to the University as a dual credit student. As part of the dual credit application, students must also submit an official high school transcript, a letter of permission from their high school counselor, and proof of Meningitis vaccination. Participation in dual credit courses at the University does not imply automatic acceptance to the University as a first-time freshman or transfer student.
