SPAN 3327 Spanish for Vision Science

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of Spanish, with emphasis on developing listening comprehension and speaking skills in a medical/optometry setting. It includes activities for developing abilities in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. This course will address the following general topics related to health professions: body parts, illnesses and symptoms, numbers, dates, colors, figures, family history, as well as interviewing and counseling patients. Topics specific to Vision Science include: parts of the eye, the alphabet, optometry terminology, and language for a basic eye exam.
