SMHP 3301 Introduction to Sport Management
This course introduces the field of sport management highlighting the central place of community connection and impact in the modern sport industry. Students in this course will learn how different sport structures will facilitate or hinder the realization of several intended benefits including improving health, economic development, community development, positive socialization, and national/community pride. Topics include organizational design, mission, event management, and governance.
