PUBH 2310 Essentials of Public Health
Public health is often confused with healthcare for the indigent. However, the public health system's
focus is on large populations rather than smaller communities and individuals. This course will cover
basic public health functions and principles as well as historical context, the core disciplines of public health, essential functions that every public health system should apply, and health communications.
