KEHP 4346 Adapted Physical Activity and Sport

This course will offer students an understanding of current concepts and trends in inclusive physical activity and sport. The course emphasizes three content areas: foundation for inclusive physical activity, inclusive physical activity program planning and implementation, and the application of inclusive practice. The course focuses on the influence of differing abilities on physical skills and performance and the modifications necessary to provide all individuals an optimal and meaningful physical activity experience. Practice is provided in the assessment, planning, and implementation of physical activity and sport programs designed to meet the unique needs of all individuals.
