HCSC 4360 Informatics and Evidence in Healthcare
This course is designed to help students acquire the skills necessary to utilize scientific evidence when planning patient care. Students will be exposed to concepts of the evidence-based model of patient-centered care that will be practiced through case management scenarios. Supporting the Institute of Medicine’s Core Competencies, students will communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support decision making using information technology.
Prerequisite
“C” or better in
HCSC 3210 AND admission to the Healthcare Science major.
