HCSC 3320 Social and Cultural Considerations in Healthcare

This course focuses on an overview of the U.S. healthcare system, coupled with an in-depth analysis of modern trends and those expected in the future.  It also includes an evaluation of the status of our healthcare system with emphasis on cultural diversity, cultural bias, and competency. It provides the healthcare sciences student with an increased understanding of the cross-cultural factors that can influence health and disease practices across a wide range of cultural groups and strategies to improve patient care through a lens of respect.
