MKT 3355 Marketing on the Internet

This course examines the role that the Internet plays as an indispensable business tool in marketing, including identifying relevant emerging business models and strategies and the integration of the Internet with traditional marketing tools. The course examines current theoretical frameworks and analytical tools used to communicate effectively on the Internet and enables students to build the knowledge base to identify new business models, tools, and tactics. Students will learn to act strategically and tactically using social media tools such as social networking sites, blogs, email, podcasts, and wikis. In addition, they will learn the basics of planning and designing a marketing website, and understand how search engines work and are implemented in a marketing context.
