Program Overview

The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design degree program provides a marketable, hands-on education that prepares students for employment upon graduation. With an emphasis on environment and behavior, the design process combined with the latest technology develop students’ skills. Students are challenged to identify, research, and creatively solve problems relative to the function and quality of the interior.

The Interior Design program promotes creativity within the framework of creating a functional interior. Diverse career opportunities include design in the areas of residential, commercial, hospitality, institutional, and healthcare. This can include sub-specialties such as restaurants, kitchens and baths, model homes, interiors for planes or yachts, or historic conservation or preservation.

A minimum of 124 credit hours is required to complete the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design program.
