BIOL 2474 Introductory Microbiology
This course is designed to introduce basic principles of microbiology and actively engage students in the examination of microbial life. Students will explore clinically relevant microorganisms with a focus on host-microbe interactions, infectious disease, immune evasion, epidemiology, and control of microbial growth through chemotherapeutic agents. Positive contributions of microorganisms to public health, foods, biomedical science, and industry will also be covered. Students must take BIOL 2474 lecture concurrently with the laboratory. This course is designed for Nursing and Nutrition majors.
