CRJU 30813 Sex Crimes
Prerequisites: CRJU 20413 or 20423 or permission of instructor. A critical examination of sexual offending from psychological, sociological, and criminological perspectives. Emphasis is placed on the etiology and historical perspectives of offending, measuring the incidence and prevalence of sex crimes, sex offender legislation and criminal justice responses, correctional treatments for sex offenders, victim experiences, and the prevention of sex crimes.
