CRJU 30383 Institutional Corrections
An examination of institutional corrections. Philosophies of punishment, and the history of corrections that gave rise to the modern penitentiary are highlighted. Both the formal and informal organization of prisoners and prison administrators are addressed in relation to the inmate/correctional officer experience of the institution.
