The major in Social Work requires the completion of 50 major credits plus 18 credits of required supporting courses in psychology, biology, math, political science, and sociology.

The student is required to maintain an overall GPA of 2.65 or higher and a GPA of 2.65 or higher in required major courses and earn a C+ or better in major and supporting courses.

Students interested in the major in Social Work are required to meet with the BSW Program Director before declaring this major to discuss the professional requirements of the degree, based on the Program's external accreditation by the Council on Social Work Education.
