Financial assistance programs are available to qualified students from the state of Connecticut, including the Governor’s Scholarship Program. Many other states also have scholarship programs for residents of their state. For more information, contact your state’s agency for higher education.
Connecticut Governor’s Scholarship Program
The State of Connecticut offers assistance under the Governor’s Scholarship Need and Merit-Based Award for Connecticut residents. For the Governor’s Scholarship Merit-Based Award, a student must be graduated from high school with a class rank of 20% or better and/or SAT scores of at least 1800 or ACT score of at least 27. Recipient must attend a Connecticut public or non-profit private college and must demonstrate financial need by filing the FAFSA. Or a CT resident who attends a Connecticut public or non-profit private college may be a recipient of the Governor’s Scholarship Need-Based Award. The recipient must have a federal Expected Family Contribution (EFC) within the allowable range determined by filing the FAFSA. Students cannot receive both. Funding is available based on state-approved allocations to institutions and may be limited.
