LGS 15500 The History of Law: Europe

This course examines the history of European culture and society, and its impact on the resulting legal systems. The English Common Law legal system, as well as the Roman Civil Law legal system will be explored beginning with the Feudalism period through the Twenty-first century. Special attention is paid to the impact of culture on the evolution of the various legal systems. This course has a study abroad component.
