ENG 21300 Contemporary Poetry Honors

In this seminar-style course, students will examine the wide spectrum of contemporary poetry, including poets from Robinson Jeffers and Theodore Roethke to the more contemporary poets such as Billy Collins, John Allman, and Ai. Readings in literary history and criticism will be used to supplement discussion of the course texts. Students will engage in original research and write several essays.
