MAT 209 Discrete Mathematics

An introduction to the study of mathematical structures that are fundamentally discrete rather than continuous. Topics considered include methods of proof, mathematical induction, logic, sets, relations, functions, number theory, probability and counting, Boolean Algebra, trees and graph theory. This course is intended for students majoring in mathematics and computer science.
