HOS 206 Beverage Management

This is an introductory course that covers a variety of alcoholic beverage categories. Topics include wine/beer and major wine/beer producing countries around the world, spirits and craft beer breweries. Discussions include beverage trends; staff training and responsible customer service; wine and spirits list development; food and wine pairings; the beverage industry structure and beverage/alcohol regulations; purchasing and storage.
