POL 104 American Government: Honors

If we are to maintain a democratic way of governing by guarding democratic principles, it is necessary to know what those principles are. This honors course will examine how the principles of democracy have shaped the structures and functions of the institutions that comprise American national government today. Students will engage in original research on the relationship of power and democracy in the United State and will complete an Honors essay as the culminating project for this course.

Prerequisite

Admission into the Sam Draper Honors Program or permission of the Department Chair
