Federal Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act of 1989 (Public Law 101-226)
Rockland Community College is committed to an educational environment free of illegal drug use and abuse of alcohol. In order to receive federal funds, the College must certify that it has adopted and implemented a program to prevent the unlawful possession, use or distribution of illicit drugs and alcohol by students. Alcohol and Substance Abuse Prevention Services Coordinator are located in the Student Development Center. Additionally, the Student Handbook further defines the policies of the College as well as related disciplinary actions.
