Residential Living Staff

Director of Residential Living

The Director of Residential Living has administrative responsibility for the staff and services of Residential Living. Such services include the presentation of programs and activities to enhance the cultural, social, academic, intellectual, and leadership endeavors of the University, supervising the conduct system for Housing policy violations, and working with students and staff to provide a safe environment within the residence halls. Additionally the Director is responsible for ensuring housing assignments and policy enforcement is handled properly through on call crisis management procedures.. Piedmont University is committed to providing safe housing with services and amenities that foster academic success.

Associate Director of Residential Living (AD) and Assistant Director of Residential Living (AD) 

Associate Directors and Assistant Directors (ADs) are full-time professionals who also reside on campus to support students through on call procedures. They are responsible for the health and safety concerns of residents, and they assist students with personal, scholastic, and residential matters. Residential Living professional staff also coordinate educational and social programming, room assignments, maintenance requests, housing regulations enforcement, and building security. They also supervise the student Resident Assistant (RA) staff. AD and the Director  staff are responsible for the day-to-day management of the respective facilities, providing programming and assist with educational conversations focuses on housing policies to ensure safety within the community they oversee.

Resident Assistants

Resident Assistants (RAs) are student staff that are hired to provide support to the students residing on campus. An RA is responsible for the development of communities within the residence halls by providing for the care, welfare, and safety of the residents. Student staff participate in crisis management response within the halls and provide educational, social, and inclusive programming monthly to students. Students seeking to be an RA for the next hiring cycle, must maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.5.
