General Education Requirements (36 credits)

Students who have completed an Associate in Arts (AA) degree at a public Florida college will have met the General Education Requirements. Students who have completed an AA degree at an institution outside of Florida, or those who have earned an Associate in Science (AS) or Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree or equivalent, will need to take additional General Education courses. Applicants should consult with an advisor to determine if acceptable substitutions may satisfy some or all of Pasco-Hernando State College's General Education Requirements.

Area I: Communications (9 credit hours)

Area II: Mathematics (6 credit hours)

  • Any 3 credit hour course with prefix MAC, MGF or STA (MAC 1105 is recommended)
  • Any 3 credit hour course with prefix MAC, MGF or STA

Area III: Natural Sciences (6 credit hours)

  • Any 3 credit hour course from Area III
  • Any 3 credit hour course from Area III

Area IV: Social and Behavioral Sciences (6 credit hours)

  • Any 3 credit hour course from Area IV
  • Any 3 credit hour course from Area IV

Area V: Humanities (6 credit hours)

  • Any 3 credit hour course from Area V
  • Any 3 credit hour course from Area V

Area VI: Information Literacy and Technology Fluency (3 credit hours)
