MUSC 393 Directed Research in Music

Directed Research: Partnership with the Harvard Negotiation Project
This directed research course is a partnership between the John Branca Institute for Music and the Harvard Negotiation Project (HNP). Under the supervision of the Director of the Branca Institute and participating Harvard faculty (including the Director of the HNP, James Sebenius, of the Harvard Business School), Occidental students research a specified topic involving music business negotiation. Weekly assignments and meetings culminate in a final report and public presentation.

Students must apply for this course by submitting an application (found on this page) and then be selected for an interview. Successful interviewees will be admitted to the course.
