MUSC 244 Music Branding and Marketing

In this course, students learn how to develop a brand identity and artist narrative for promotional purposes. Students will develop creative marketing strategies for release campaigns including; analyzing and establishing strategies for a strong online presence; determining primary marketing tools and platforms in both digital and physical realms; and identifying key industry positions in marketing and their functions. This study will culminate in the preparation and execution of a formal music marketing campaign. This course is sponsored by the John Branca Institute for Music.
