BLST 210 African American History II: Black American Culture and Politics, 1865-1965
This course introduces students to major issues in Black American history from the Reconstruction era and the rise of Jim Crow, to the Great Migration and the twentieth-century Black freedom struggle. Focusing on key demographic, cultural, and political developments within Black American communities, the course explores the activities and impact of the Black intellectuals, artists, activists, and trailblazers who transformed the culture and politics of the modern United States.
