CWP 100 Writing for Fellowships
Every year, Oxy students apply to and win a variety of fellowships to support research, language learning, teaching, community work, and other opportunities. Even if not awarded a fellowship, applicants develop skills through the application process that help them apply for graduate school or jobs in the future. In this course, students will learn how to search for fellowships that fit their values, academic interests, and professional goals. Through exercises and written assignments, students will practice reflective and persuasive writing explaining their motivations, achievements, character, and aspirations to different audiences. All students will complete a draft fellowship application and practice interview as a final project.
