GEO 342 Geomorphology

Landforms and their interpretation in terms of tectonic and climatic processes will be presented. The focus will be on landforms such as: mountain belts, faults, and landslides caused by active tectonic processes. Methods of dating and quantifying geologic events will be introduced. Scientific writing skills will be emphasized. Includes one three-hour laboratory per week and field trip.
