CTSJ 390 CTSJ Junior Seminar: Advanced Critical Theory
The Junior Seminar offers CTSJ majors a semester-long, careful and rigorous reading of a small number of important and groundbreaking texts in critical theory. Texts and themes will vary year to year. Students will work with the professor and their peers in exploring the ideas, implications, methods, modes of writing, and styles of argumentation of these texts in depth. Students will work together to create thoughtful and creative readings of these texts over the course of the semester, bringing to bear their previous work in the department and their experience and research regarding practical political and social problems.
