ENGL 370 Literary Criticism

After a short introduction to Aristotle, this course will present the works of Marx, Freud, and Saussure as the basis for later 20th century theory. We will then explore the structuralist and post-structuralist movements. This class is recommended to those contemplating graduate study in the Humanities, and it is required for students pursuing Honors in English.
