FNS204 Pathology for Funeral Service
This course provides an overview of the terminology associated with disease states, the basic causes of disease, and the cellular abnormalities that result from the spread of disease within the body. Major diseases of each organ system will be covered with emphasis on the structural impact/postmortem conditions that may present challenges for embalming. Emphasis will be given to pathological conditions and etiological factors that impact handling, preparation, and disposition of human remains. Fulfills open elective.
