DTC218 Dietary Manager Supervised Practicum


This course is designed to prepare the student for employment as an entry level Dietary Manager by providing the student with an opportunity to develop essential skills within the workplace and with supervised guidance from qualified professionals. Program participant will spend 150 hours in accredited hospital and nursing home dietary departments meeting requirements of the Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals. The field placement will be managed by the Program Director and coordinated by the facility’s Registered Dietitian. Twenty Five hours of the training will be working directly with a Registered Dietitian in the clinical area and the remaining hours will be working with Foodservice Managers.
