LIT107 A Sense of Place: Exploring Greater Boston through Literature and Media
This course offers a survey of literary works written by Greater Bostonians who have challenged social norms and changed our perspectives. Literary texts and other forms of historical evidence and experience will be used to consider multiple perspectives and to understand the complexity of Boston’s many contradictions and how this place has helped define who we are and our identity within the whole. In 100-level literature courses, students will explore, interpret, and discuss a range of texts from multiple media. Fulfills open, liberal arts and humanities electives.
