- This transfer program is intended for students who would like a career in education focusing on teaching or working with PreK-2nd grade children in public school settings. Completion of the program will enable students to transfer to a four year institution leading to licensure for teaching PreK-2 in public school settings. Students are encouraged to work with a faculty advisor. Courses are listed in the recommended order that you should take them. Taking your math and science courses as early as possible is strongly recommended.

ECE203 - Planning Programs before taking
ECE261 - Early Childhood Practicum (ECE203 can be taken before or concurrently with ECE261).
ECE261 - Early Childhood Practicum (offered only in the spring semester) requires student teaching placements three mornings a week, typically from 8:00 am – 12 noon on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings. The seminar for this course meets on Wednesdays from 2:30 – 4:30 pm.
- The recommended courses listed above are designed upon degree completion to enable a student to be eligible to transfer to a four year college or university to pursue a PK-2nd grade program, leading to preparation for PK-2nd grade licensure to teach in PK-2nd grade in public school settings. Check your receiving institution to determine best credit options.

- Many courses have prerequisite requirements that must be fulfilled to be eligible to enroll in the course.
- If you intend to graduate with an associate degree in two years, you should enroll in at least 15 credits if taking only fall/spring courses.
- Completing 30 credits each year helps students stay on track to timely graduation.
- Taking classes in the winter intersession and summer can accelerate your time to degree completion.
- All student degree audits for graduation purposes will be based off the official program of study the student is enrolled in.
